On June 3, the International Education College held a seminar on the 2026 Jiangsu University International Student Teaching Observation Competition in Meeting Room B306 of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Building. Sun Shijuan, Vice Dean of the International Education College and LSBU-NJUIT Joint Institute, presided over the meeting. All participating teachers attended.
The Jiangsu University International Student Teaching Observation Competition is hosted by the Jiangsu Provincial Department of Education and the International Student Education Management Research Committee of the Jiangsu Higher Education Association. It serves as an important platform for promoting education and teaching reform for international students in China and advancing teachers' professional development, and it holds positive significance for enhancing the college's international education standards and cross-cultural teaching capabilities. This year's competition carries the theme "Promoting Teaching Innovation, Improving Education Quality." The college's participation covers all four tracks: all-English-taught courses, Education on China's National Conditions, international Chinese language education, and innovative teaching for international student courses, fully demonstrating the college's comprehensive planning and diverse exploration in international student education.
At the meeting, Sun Shijuan delivered an opening address. She noted that the competition provides a valuable opportunity for the college to showcase its achievements in international education and strengthen its teaching faculty, and she encouraged all participating teachers to cherish this chance for professional growth. She urged them to treat the preparation process as a practical platform for reviewing teaching practices and stimulating innovative potential. She encouraged teachers to build confidence, prepare diligently, and embrace innovation, using the competition as a bridge to enhance mutual learning and jointly explore new models and pathways for international student classroom teaching. The college will fully commit to providing support and logistical assurance, addressing teachers' concerns, and fostering a favorable environment for competition preparation.
The meeting then proceeded with in-depth discussions on the overall coordination and advancement of competition preparation work, and made unified arrangements regarding teaching material preparation, video recording, and student organization and coordination. Participating teachers further clarified the timelines and standards for various tasks, and engaged in thorough exchanges on specific issues such as lesson plan preparation norms and curriculum standard implementation. All participating teachers expressed their commitment to conscientiously implementing the meeting's arrangements, honing their fundamental teaching skills, carefully refining their teaching plans, and completing all preparation tasks with high standards and strict requirements.
The college will take this competition as an opportunity to continuously deepen its commitment to the principle of "using competitions to promote teaching, learning, and reform." It will steadily strengthen the substantive development of international student education and teaching, and promote simultaneous improvement in teachers' instructional capabilities and student education quality. Moving forward, the college will strictly follow the established plan to ensure coordinated management and process oversight, and will provide support to participating teachers through various means. It strives to fully demonstrate the solid achievements and positive outlook of NJUIT's international student education in the competition, injecting fresh vitality into the high-quality development of its international education endeavors.
6月3日，国际教育学院在双创B306会议室召开2026年江苏高校外国留学生教学观摩比赛专题研讨会。国际教育学院、伦敦南岸学院副院长孙世娟主持会议，全体参赛教师参加会议。
江苏高校外国留学生教学观摩比赛由江苏省教育厅、江苏省高等教育学会外国留学生教育管理研究委员会主办，是促进来华留学生教育教学改革、推动教师专业成长的重要平台，对提升学院国际化办学水平与跨文化教学能力具有积极意义。本次比赛以“推动教学创新，提升培养质量”为主题。学院此次参赛覆盖全部四个赛道，即全英文授课课程、中国国情教育、国际中文教育以及留学生课程教学创新赛道，充分体现了学院在留学生教育领域的全面布局与多元探索。
会上，孙世娟首先作动员讲话。她指出，本次比赛为学院提供了展示国际化教学成果、锤炼师资队伍的良好契机，希望全体参赛教师珍惜锻炼机会，将备赛过程作为审视教学实践、激发创新潜能的实践平台。她鼓励教师坚定信心、积极备赛、勇于创新，以比赛为纽带增进交流互鉴，共同探索留学生课堂教学的新模式与新路径。学院将全力做好各项支持与保障工作，为参赛教师排忧解难，营造良好的备赛氛围。
随后，会议围绕备赛工作的整体统筹与推进进行了深入研讨，就教学材料准备、参赛视频录制及学生组织协调等相关事项作出统一部署。与会教师进一步明确了各项工作的时间节点与规范要求，围绕教案编写规范、课程标准落实等具体问题进行了充分的交流探讨。参赛教师一致表示，将认真落实会议部署，锤炼教学基本功，精心打磨教学方案，高标准、严要求地完成各项备赛任务。
学院将以此次比赛为契机，持续深化“以赛促教、以赛促学、以赛促改”的工作理念，不断加强留学生教育教学内涵建设，推动教师教学能力与人才培养质量双提升。接下来，学院将严格按照既定方案做好统筹协调与过程管理，通过多种形式为参赛教师提供支持，力争在比赛中全方位展现学校留学生教育的扎实成效与良好风貌，为国际化办学事业高质量发展注入新的活力。
