On March 6, ahead of International Women's Day, the International Education College and the LSBU-NJUIT Joint Institute co-hosted a lecture themed "To Every Shining Her" in Room 411 of Lequn Building. Centered on "mental health empowerment and women's growth breakthroughs," the event offered special festive care for all female students. Wang Lili, Party branch secretary of the Basic Courses Department, served as the keynote speaker. Relevant officials from the International Education College and the LSBU-NJUIT Joint Institute, counselors, and over 80 Chinese and international female students gathered to discuss women's growth and share warmth and strength.

From "self-acceptance" to "breakthrough growth": decoding the mental keys for women in the new era. Wang Lili opened with the origins of International Women's Day and the meaning of "her power," guiding attendees through the historical struggle for women's equal rights and interpreting the vibrant female strength embodied by young university students today. She established mental health as the foundation of "her power," explaining self-care through self-acceptance and emotional awareness. She encouraged students to embrace imperfection, stop internal exhaustion, learn to coexist with negative emotions, and seek help when needed—building a solid defense for psychological well-being.

The lecture also addressed physical self-care and healthy perspectives on relationships, combining Chinese and international life scenarios to explain safety protection in personal, online, and sexual health, fortifying a safety barrier for women's growth. Wang Lili emphasized that "her power" for women in the new era is reflected in three dimensions of independence: intellectual, personal, and economic. She urged those present to break gender bias, reject being defined by others, and support and illuminate one another along their journeys. Her vivid storytelling and detailed cases deeply inspired the audience.

Books as a medium to transmit strength, allowing "her power" to grow through reading. During the event, relevant officials from the International Education College and the LSBU-NJUIT Joint Institute presented books to female student representatives, using literature as a vehicle to pass on the power of growth. They encouraged Chinese and international female students to enrich their minds and nourish their spirits through reading, embrace life with healthy mindsets, hold fast to their passions in growth, and bravely become their undefined selves.

This lecture closely aligned with the core significance of International Women's Day—"honoring women's strength and empowering growth and development." It not only delivered festive care to Chinese and international female students but also built a cross-cultural platform for women's growth and exchange. It transformed mental health from an abstract concept into a practical guide for self-care, and turned "her power" from a slogan into a vivid embodiment of independence, confidence, and mutual support among women in the new era.

Female students who attended expressed that the event deepened their understanding of "women's growth." Going forward, they will carry what they gained from the lecture to embrace life with greater determination and healthier mindsets, shine with their own unique light on the path to pursuing their dreams, and let "her power" illuminate the growth journeys of more fellow travelers.
