This September, over 100 class of 2025 international students from 16 countries around the world arrived at NJUIT to begin their new academic journey by the shores of Songshan Lake. The university enrolled a record number of four-year degree-seeking international students this year. During the registration period, Wei Ping, member of the CPC NJUIT Committee and Vice President, visited the International Students' Garden registration site to learn about the new students' check-in process in detail, and also toured the international student dormitories to chat with the students. She emphasized that the International Education College should coordinate with relevant departments to solidly manage student services and academic instruction for international students, ensuring their safety on campus, a fulfilling life, and academic progress.
This year, the International Education College introduced several new measures, launching an upgraded one-stop international student service management platform that integrates online appointment booking, document submission, and accommodation registration, significantly improving registration efficiency. The on-site check-in process combined digital services with personal guidance, and also featured a warm interactive element: the college prepared a wish tree decorated with colorful ribbons in advance, encouraging students to pick up pens and write their aspirations for their future studies and campus life on cards, then hang them on the branches themselves. The colorful wish cards swaying gently in the breeze became a hopeful sight at the registration site.
The international students expressed that NJUIT is not only a hall for acquiring professional knowledge, but also a window for understanding modern China.
They are determined to devote themselves to rigorous academic study while actively engaging with Chinese society and experiencing Chinese culture, striving to tell China's stories in a more vivid and three-dimensional way through what they see, hear, and feel with their own eyes and ears. Sami, an international student from Bangladesh, warmly shared his thoughts with teachers. He looks forward to the day when he completes his studies and returns home, when he will not only serve his country's development with excellent professional skills, but also become a competent storyteller of China and ambassador for NJUIT's image, proactively sharing his authentic experiences and fond memories in China to contribute to building bridges of friendship and cooperation between China and the world.

今年，国际教育学院推出多项新举措，启用升级版 “一站式” 国际学生服务管理平台，实现线上预约、材料提交、住宿登记等流程一体化办理，大幅提升报到效率。现场报到环节融合数字化服务和人文引导，还特别设置了温馨的互动环节：国际教育学院提前准备好装饰着彩带的 “心愿树”，引导留学生拿起笔，将对未来学业的期待、对校园生活的向往等心愿一一写在卡片上，再亲手挂到树枝上，一张张色彩各异的心愿卡随风轻晃，成为报到现场一道充满希望的风景线。来华留学生们深情表示，南工不仅是汲取专业知识的殿堂，更是了解现代中国的窗口。
立志在刻苦钻研学业的同时，积极走进中国社会、感知中国文化，努力用自己的亲眼所见、亲耳所闻、亲身所感，更立体、更生动地讲述中国故事。来自孟加拉国的留学生萨米热情地跟老师们表达心声，他期盼着学成归国的那一天，不仅能以卓越的专业技能服务本国建设，更能成为一名称职的“中国故事讲述者”和“南工形象代言人”，主动分享他在中国的真实经历与美好回忆，为搭建中国与世界之间的友谊与合作的桥梁贡献自己的力量。
