Recently, the International Students Education Management Research Committee of Jiangsu Higher Education Association released the list of outstanding courses and social practice bases for Education on China's National Conditions for international students in Jiangsu universities in 2026. The Chinese Painting and Calligraphy course, submitted by NJUIT's International Education College, was named an "Outstanding Course for Education on China's National Conditions for International Students in Jiangsu Universities in 2026," while "Wisdom in Intangible Heritage, Craftsmanship in Splendor" was selected as a "Social Practice Base for Education on China's National Conditions for International Students in Jiangsu Universities in 2026."
Chinese Painting and Calligraphy builds on NJUIT's distinctive strength in vocational aesthetic education, integrating theoretical instruction, master demonstrations, and hands-on creation. Using brush and ink as a medium, the course conveys traditional Chinese aesthetics and humanistic spirit to international students, while activities such as painting and calligraphy creation and China-foreign joint exhibitions serve as bridges for cross-cultural exchange.
The "Wisdom in Intangible Heritage, Craftsmanship in Splendor" base has established in-depth partnerships with multiple off-campus intangible heritage institutions, including Yixing purple clay enterprises and Qixia Folk Art Museum. It has developed a distinctive practice model combining technology and intangible heritage, offering diverse experiential activities in technological innovation and entrepreneurship education, purple clay craftsmanship, Chinese painting and calligraphy, and traditional cuju. This initiative builds a long-term mechanism for university-locality collaborative education and connects campus classrooms with real-world study tours.
For years, NJUIT has leveraged its strengths in engineering and other disciplines to develop a dual-track national conditions education model combining classroom teaching and field practice. The university regularly organizes intangible heritage study tours and traditional cultural experience activities, helping international students gain a comprehensive and multi-dimensional understanding of China.
The recognition of these two achievements at the provincial level reflects the effectiveness of the university's international education efforts. Moving forward, NJUIT will continue to refine its signature courses, enrich base practice content, and innovate the forms of national conditions education. The university remains committed to telling China's stories well, cultivating more international young ambassadors who understand and befriend China, and contributing to mutual learning between Chinese and other civilizations.
近日，江苏省高等教育学会外国留学生教育管理研究委员会发布2026年度江苏高校来华留学生中国国情教育优秀课程与社会实践基地名单，我校国际教育学院申报的《中国书画》获评“2026年江苏高校来华留学生中国国情教育优秀课程”，“智萃非遗 匠筑风华”入选为“2026年江苏高校来华留学生中国国情教育社会实践活动基地”。
《中国书画》立足职教美育特色，融合理论讲解、名家示范与实操创作，以笔墨丹青为载体，向留学生传递中华传统美学与人文精神，通过书画创作、中外联展等活动搭建跨文化交流桥梁。
“智萃非遗 匠筑风华”基地深度联动宜兴紫砂企业、栖霞民艺馆等多家校外非遗机构，创新打造“科技+非遗 ”特色实践模式，开设科技双创教育、紫砂、中国书画、传统蹴鞠等多元体验活动，构建校地协同育人长效机制，打通校园课堂与社会实景研学通道。
长期以来，我校依托工科等学科优势，构建“课堂教学 + 实景实践” 双轨国情教育模式，常态化开展非遗研学、传统文化体验等活动，助力留学生全方位感知真实立体的中国。
此次两项成果获评省级项目，是学校国际教育育人成效的有力体现。下一步，学校将持续打磨精品课程，丰富基地实践内容，创新国情教育形式，持续讲好中国故事，培育更多知华、友华的国际青年使者，助力中外文明交流互鉴。
