To further strengthen the education and management of international students, enhance academic atmosphere, clarify the responsibilities of class advisors, and improve student services, the International Education College held a training session for class advisors for the first semester of the 2026-2027 academic year on the morning of August 30 in Meeting Room 306, Building B of the Innovation and Entrepreneurship College. Sun Shijuan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Branch and Vice Dean of the International Education College and the LSBU-NJUIT Joint Institute, attended the meeting. All counselors and class advisors were present.
At the meeting, Sun Shijuan outlined the key tasks for class advisors in the new semester, drawing on procedures for international students' enrollment registration, medical examination, residence permit application, and the university's disciplinary regulations. She noted that counselors and class advisors serve as an important link between the college, instructors, and international students. They must prioritize academic atmosphere construction, strictly enforce class attendance policies, closely monitor tardiness and absenteeism, standardize leave request procedures, and maintain thorough awareness of students' classroom performance.
The meeting emphasized that counselors and class advisors should proactively strengthen communication and coordination with instructors, promptly follow up on students' classroom performance and academic progress, dynamically track students' ideological and academic conditions, and provide early warnings and interventions when issues arise. They should also make regular visits to student dormitories, gaining firsthand understanding of international students' living conditions, reinforcing dormitory discipline and safety education, and paying close attention to risks such as late returns, overnight absences, and use of prohibited electrical appliances, thereby fortifying dormitory safety.
Regarding daily student guidance, the meeting called on counselors and class advisors to both urge students to adopt a proper attitude toward learning and encourage international students to cherish their time at the university and devote themselves to their studies, while also attending to students' physical and mental well-being. They should encourage students to participate actively in physical exercise, balance academic and personal life, and consciously abide by university rules and regulations to develop good habits. Additionally, they should provide timely reminders to new students about enrollment procedures, assist them with temporary accommodation registration, medical examinations, and residence permit applications, and help international students adapt to campus life as quickly as possible.
The counselors and class advisors in attendance listened carefully to the work requirements and engaged in discussions on challenges in international student management. Participants expressed their commitment to fulfilling their duties conscientiously, carrying out daily education and management with thoroughness and attention to detail, and working collaboratively with multiple stakeholders to foster a sound academic atmosphere and a safe, well-ordered campus environment, ensuring the smooth implementation of international student education and management work in the new semester.
为进一步夯实来华留学生教育管理工作，强化学风建设，明晰班主任工作职责，提升学生管理服务水平，国际教育学院于8月30日上午在双创学院B栋306会议室召开2026-2027学年第一学期班主任工作培训会。国际教育学院、伦敦南岸学院直属党支部副书记、副院长孙世娟出席会议，全体辅导员、班主任参加本次会议。
会上，孙世娟结合来华留学生入校办理登记、体检、居留许可等各项事务流程以及学校纪律管理规定，对新学期班主任重点工作作出部署。她指出，辅导员、班主任是联系学院、任课教师与来华留学生之间的重要纽带，要牢牢抓好学风建设这一核心工作，严格落实课堂考勤制度，紧盯学生迟到、旷课等现象，规范学生请假流程，对学生上课状态做到心中有数。
会议强调，辅导员、班主任要主动加强与任课老师的沟通联动，及时对接学生课堂表现、学习进度，动态跟踪学生思想与学习情况，发现问题早提醒、早干预。要坚持深入宿舍一线，常态化开展宿舍走访，实地了解来华留学生住宿生活状况，做好宿舍纪律、安全警示教育，重点关注晚归、夜不归宿、违规电器使用等风险问题，筑牢宿舍安全防线。
在学生日常引导方面，会议提出，辅导员、班主任既要督促学生端正学习态度，勉励来华留学生珍惜在校时光，勤奋钻研学业，也要关注学生身心健康，鼓励学生积极参与体育锻炼，平衡学习与生活，引导学生自觉遵守校纪校规，树立良好行为习惯。同时要做好新生入校各项事务提醒，协助学生完成临时住宿登记、体检、居留许可办理等手续，帮助来华留学生尽快适应校园学习生活。
参会辅导员、班主任认真聆听工作要求，并围绕留学生管理难点开展交流讨论。大家纷纷表示，将切实履行岗位职责，做实做细日常教育管理，协同多方力量，共同营造优良学风与安全有序的校园环境，保障新学期留学生教育管理工作平稳有序开展。
